Step 1 - Assessment Type



If married, calculator will compute both separate and joint, then pick the lower.

Step 2 - Income

Please enter the annual total income for the year of assessment (before deductions). Enter the total mandatory MPF contributions made during the year (maximum deductible HK$18,000).

Step 3 - Allowances

Personal & Spouse Disability

For exceptional statutory allowances not listed above (e.g. personal disability allowance or other approved cases under IRD rules).

Dependent Brothers / Sisters
Dependent Parents / Grandparents

Aged 60+ (or <60 but disabled)

Aged 55-59

Step 4 - Deductions

General
Retirement & Insurance Voluntary MPF top-up contributions (shared HK$60,000 cap with annuity & VHIS).
Family & Health
Housing Tick if claiming rent deduction for extended years of entitlement (beyond standard cap, IRD-approved). Tick if claiming further years of mortgage interest deduction (up to IRD's extended maximum years).
